#26 Giant Yoga Table

This Sweetie pie is 8ft long by 30 inches wide ... its bar height (40 inches) and calls the "Your Affinity Place" yoga studio in Vaughn home. I love this beautiful piece but I will miss it. Sounds sappy but it's true. Actually I'm sure the girls at Affinity are treating it well because they told me so.

It's our Up & Down Harvest Table but it's reeeaaaalll big
Reclaimed wood top and a metal base. Another example of our Up & Down Harvest Table made for a customer that loves to entertain. Its 9ft long and 42 inches wide. there tons of overhang therefore tons of legroom.

We built this big blackboard / picture frame combination for a designer. Her customer wanted something for the kitchen that could house pictures of family to the right x3 and a big blackboard on the left.. We decorated it with antique ceiling tiles on the top left and hinged the picture frame portion with big reclaimed door hinges. The whole thing was made from reclaimed wood and the rest is history... oh, note the lip on the bottom for chalk.. It is made out of an old floorboard.

I don't know what it is but everyone wants a shelf unit. Maybe its a beginning of the year thing or something, in any case people are asking for it and we are building them. A few days ago while on delivery I came across one of the most unique shelf ideas. Our customer - Tammy, was doing relief work in New Orleans a few years back during Katrina and noticed the ingenious uses of reclaimed materials. Building were torn to bits and pieces were literally lying around. Locals would gather the pieces and use them as building material for everything from walls to cabinets to tables. Now at home, Tammy picked up on that and took a door, added a shelf and created what you see. I call it the Tammy DoorShelf and we build it right here at Forever Interiors..

This unique cabinet was custom made for a customers' washroom...... what really interesting is that its made from the frame of an old window, tin ceiling tiles and reclaimed wood.. do you dig it?

When is a door or Window a blackboard?

No its not a trick question. We reuse old window frames as the FRAME for blackboards of all sizes (all the varying sizes of windows of course). We have a number of pieces in stock but we do do custom orders so let us know.

Almost forgot, we make tons of cabinets from old doors but we often have leftover panels which we re-invent into small chalkboards.. no pictures right now but they're coming soon.

Happy Fall everyone.. you're probably too late for a Thanksgiving table but chances are good we can build you a Table for Christmas dinner. We use 121 year old reclaimed wood from the former Victoria Royce church in the Junction area of Toronto. Contemporary wooden base tables, modern looking tables with industrial styled metal bases and of course traditional harvest tables like the one pictured.

Hi Everyone, Happy summer!

Nothing says summer more than lounging around in the hot sun and doing nothing. What better than a Forever Alligator Bench to lounge on.

New from the ground up, we designed and built a couple of these for the Patio at Margaret's (a Bar, down the street at Dundas and Pacific). Now we are building them for everyone.

Does it look like a Alligator? I think it does.

What are we known for at Forever Interiors you ask? Making new things from old things.
Our new big thing is tables, we're making tables left right and centre from 121 year old wood that is currently being removed from a church turn condo project (don't worry, the church buildings will remain intact). All interiors walls, fixtures and some of the floors are being removed. It's a great opportunity and we're making the best of it by building tables from a historic Junction area landmark. Harvest tables, funky rustic tables with metal legs and whatever may be in between, you tell us what you want, we'll build it.

Made to our customers exacting specs, this unit features four doors adorn with antique tin ceiling tiles, a two inch thick reclaimed wood top and one inch thick reclaimed wood shelf inside.

History of the Bench & Door

Long before the advent of the door there was the bench. Now you’re probably thinking, what has a bench got to do with a door, well nothing and everything. Long ago in homes big and small, one could freely move from one room to another without obstacle. That was a time of no doors, no privacy and lots of interruptions.

As human beings, we are social creatures, we play together, work together and of course, we live together. On that note, after the advent of the home came the advent of the house guest. Now one could hardly have a guest over without something to sit on, thus the creation of the bench. Why with all these rooms and people living together one could barely have a private conversation. This was a serious problem and like all problems, man would devise a solution. To limit interruptions early man simply placed a bench in the entranceway and had his guest sit on it, thus blocking anyone from entering the room and interrupting a conversation no matter how trivial the subject. Benches you could say were the first doors.

What has this got to do with anything you ask? Forever Interiors makes benches from reclaimed doors. What can we build for you?
